The Gurukul Trust, promoter of SelaQui is a 'Not for Profit' NGO/Trust committed to promote quality & value based education & institutions that provide sound physical & intellectual infrastructure, an engaging curriculum, a vigorous outdoor life, a motivated and skilled faculty, and a non-threatening, learning for all environment.

SelaQui Academy of Higher Education, established in the year 2010, is a natural progression and yet another quality initiative of The Gurukul Trust in establishing an institution of academic excellence. It builds new paradigms in excellence in higher education and set up new benchmarks in student development and preparation for life. The Four Institutes under SelaQui Academy are –

• SelaQui Institute Of Engineering & Technology (SIET) – This Institutes Offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (B.Tech) in Five Disciplines namely Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication and Computer Science.

In the year 2000, The Gurukul Trust, set up SelaQui International School – a highly reputed Co-educational Boarding school at Dehradun. It offers High Quality Academics and competitive excellence in sports, in addition to holistic development. Crafting outstanding humans, winners in academics, sports or both. It offers two Unique Programs namely Gurukul –The Academic Program ,which prepares for Academic Excellence and Arjuna –The Sports Program, which prepares for national & International sports stars

The Gurukul Trust launched a major initiative in 2007, TeacherSity, rooted in the research findings worldwide that teachers are central to any worthwhile teaching / learning effort. TeacherSity introduced innovative Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for teachers in K-12 schools and has already trained more than 2,500 teachers – ranging from primary to senior secondary teachers. This in-service professional development initiative, being the first of its kind in India, has been lauded and commended by the World Bank, NCERT, Government of India and several such bodies associated with K-12 schools.

Principals FORUM is a movement, is a program and is a web portal. In any or all of its avatars, the professional and personal challenges, opportunities and needs of the principals and their schools would be addressed. It is collaboration virtual; through the web and physical; through conclaves, round tables, conferences and other modes, amongst teachers, principals, researchers, trainers, institutions, schools and school administrators in providing quality education conforming to global standards. In the year 2008,Town Schools Education Initiatives, an associate of The Gurukul Trust launched – vocational education and training, employment and livelihood program for economically weaker and otherwise backward and underserved communities in the sub-urban areas across India. It is working closely with the Government of India, Ministry of Rural Development and Ministry of Labor & Employment in reaching out and across to school dropouts or other educated but unemployable youth. 60 such education & training centers have already been set up across India.

In the year 2010, Town Schools also collaborated with Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU, New Delhi to set up Town Schools Community College with a pan-India footprint to provide education and training opportunities to those desiring to acquire knowledge, skills and certification to improve their career prospects.

Mr. Om Pathak, Chairman of The Gurukul Trust, founded the Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad society that now runs four schools including a free school for children of destitute families, where children are exposed to hygiene and health in addition to quality education. The other three schools are amongst the leading CBSE schools in the National Capital Region of Delhi.

Around the same time, Mr. Om Pathak was also closely associated with the setting up of Institute of Management Technology (IMT) also at Ghaziabad, which now ranks amongst the top business schools in India.
