Student Conduct

General Rules -


Students, as adult learners, are expected to follow the rules and the code of conduct as laid down by the institution. The rules and the code of conduct is so framed so as to facilitate and support the living and learning for all stakeholders on the campus. Remember that someone else defying the code or violating the rules might inconvenience you. It thus, becomes necessary that all of us follow rules to make life easy for everyone including us.

SelaQui firmly believes in self-discipline and would actively work towards a threat free environment. This can not be achieved without the active support and participation of the faculty, staff and students.

However, any act of indiscipline inside or outside the institute may attract strict action in accordance with the rules applicable.

While specific rules are published separately and are available to enrolled students, the general rules are as follows:
  • Students should always keep their Tagged identity card with them.
  • Students should abide by all the rules and regulations of SelaQui Academy.
  • Students should participate in at least one of the extracurricular activities organized by SelaQui Academy.


Students should pass the session tests as prescribed. There may be three tests in a semester. The marks of the two tests will be considered for the session. Students not appearing in sessional test may be detained in the Semester examination.

Any changes in program eligibility, program duration, program name, fee structure, seat reservations and University examination fee by the competent authorities will be a binding on the students and has to be followed by them without any delay.




Attendance -


Students should report on the date of registration announced for each semester. No excuse for the delay in any case will be allowed.

Students not reporting on time and without any formal leave of absence would also be liable to pay a fine as may be notified in attendance rules.

Students are expected to attend all classes. Minimum physical attendance required is 90%, though the university may ask for less, SelaQui Academy is keen to ensure success for every learner.

Discipline - An empowered learning environment at the campus requires mutual respect for all the stakeholders – students, faculty, parents, society, industry, employees. Discipline and self-discipline is essential to provide space for all to function productively and effectively.

Accordingly all are expected to adhere to the norms and rules laid-down for conduct of teaching & learning, research, attendance, punctuality, security, cleanliness, industry-interactions, assessments & examination, in the interest of maximization of resources, time and opportunity of building careers.

A detailed set of guidelines would be available to every student on the web portal and they would be expected to read and sign a pledge to honor and respect the institutional norms thus ensuring a safe, secure and supportive environment to all their fellow beings.

SelaQui is a Smoking-Free campus. It requires everyone on the campus to abstain from smoking. The laws of the land banning smoking in the public places would apply.

Identity Card - An identity card will be issued at the time of admission. The students will be permitted to enter in the campus & attend the class only on production of their ID cards.In addition, they would be required to mark their attendance on the campus through a biometric networked attendance system.

Ragging -


SelaQui Academy is a ragging-free campus. While the Academy actives promotes mutuality and respect for all, cases of persistent violation of such norms would be dealt with as per the laws of land.

The government of India and also the AICTE [All India Council for Technical Education] have laid down a set of detailed instructions including penalties for violations. All students are expected to read these at http://www.aicte-india.org



Dress code -Breaking away from the established practice of prescribed uniforms,SelaQui Academy students are not required to wear a uniform. Instead, they would be required to adhere to the formal dress while engaging in academic activities in the campus such as attending lectures or working in laboratories.

For B. Tech, MBA, and BBA students-



Summer 16th March to 31st October

Boys - Formal tucked in Shirt half/full sleeves & Trousers; Footwear-only Shoes.

Girls - Formal tucked in Shirt half/full sleeves& Trouser or Business suit with suitable footwear.

Winter 1st November to 15th March

Boys - Formal Shirt & Trouser with Coat/Blazer & tie; Footwear-only shoes.

Girls - Formal Shirt & Trouser with Coat/Blazer/Jacket or business suit & suitable footwear.
